Just listened to a fascinating prog on R4 featuring Lennon from the beebs archives (BBC Radio 4 - Archive on 4, John Lennon: Verbatim) and, being at a loose end, i thought i would give a heads up to those that missed it.

It served to confirm everything i already thought about JL, which is always nice! Articulate, insightful, searing intellect, honest to the point of brutality. All that, as well as talented beyond reason. Where are the John's of today? No more heroes anymore..

He was answering questions on a wide range of issues in this program, but not specifically about beating his wife. i dont imagine he would have been dishonest about those dark moments of his past.
