This may be the most exciting thread ever on this site
Anyway, recently I found out that a number of people I know only wash their clothes/do their laundry every 4 weeks or more. I was surprised because they have a washer/dryer in their place and I would think they wouldn't have enough clothes to last. On the other hand there are people who do their laundry every two day.
What about you? How often do your laundry? I average about every week/week and a half.

One load per week - though I have enough pants and tee shirts to go for two weeks or more .. but my "reserve pants" are uninspiring enough to discourage this.

I will as usual, be home for 2 or 3 weeks during the hostilities and will more than likely let things go a bit - certainly in the tee shirt department.

There's a gap in the poll between 'twice a week or more' and 'every 1-2 weeks'. That gap is '1-2 times a week', which would be my answer. Though they're not the same clothes each time, if you see what I mean.
So do you mean 'how often do you wash each item of clothing' or 'how often do you do a load of laundry'? Because my answer would be different depending on the exact question!

I did some laundry during the summer, I think that was the first time in a year. Usually someone else does it for me.

I do maybe 2-3 loads a week. It really depends on your facilities. Obviously if you have to use a launderette, you are unlikely to do it more than once a week.

If you have kids then if you don't wash at least twice a week I reckon you get a bloody mountain - the thought of leaving it for any longer than a week would be impossible!!

Trekking down to the laundrette is a bit of a bind, but on the plus side you get more of a sense of achievement when you've done it and the general smell of soap suds is a good hangover cure.

Used to get away with 3 loads a week but since the new baby arrived with her little reflux issues I do two loads every other day, so about 6 or 7 a week.

Sorry, I meant how often do you do your laundry so I guess that can include sheets, towels and what not.
And for those who use a laundrette I can understand why you wouldn't want to trek down all the time.

There's 3 adults in this house and I generally do 2/4 washes a week depending on the weather and what we have to do, boy and I seem to be pj slobs. No hard and fast rules about it here.

Actually more than once a week once you figure in for sheets and things and running out of clothes quicker.

My washing machine is on every day... granted I do have three kids, associated towels, bedding, swimming gear etc

But even when you share it between them... Thats one load being mine at least every two days

Usually do laundry 3 times a week, this is mostly because I do not own many clothes. Also with 3 cats in the house we probably have a higher than average frequency (with the exception of households including very young children) of incidents involving clothing getting vomited or pissed on.

Really? We have two cats and no vomiting/pissing issues, thank God. I do get dribbled on occasionally.

Two people in our house, and I do laundry 2-3 times a week as well.
