Laugharne, Brown's and pub next door for sale

Very fond of Browns - first went there way back in the 1970's when - apart from terrible garish wallpaper - it was much as it was in the days of the Poet. Had a 2 night stay there the other year in it's refurbished mode and it was very enjoyable , a bonus being the poetry evening plus we got the prime seat in the bay window.

Keep us advised please.

Browns seems to be fully back up and running. The proprietor also farms Welsh beef, and runs what is by all accounts an excellent restaurant - Dexters - attached to the premises.

The Mariners pub ("The New Three Mariners"), which is my local, is now leased to a manager, who's making a damn good go of it - usually two real ales on, a decent lager (Madri), plus the usual suspects (Worthington, Carling, Coors :hmm:), and events. I believe there's a beer festival coming up quite soon.

Not to mention a live gig by a Certain Local Band on 25th June, hem hem hem
