There are cash machines on the top of "Mary Seacole Street' between the woo woo tent and the main arena? Not busy yet.

I am absolutely furious that I have arranged to go on a date forgetting that this was this weekend.

And now I find out there's a god damn zip wire.

PS Is zip wire appropriate for a first date?

Incredibly, Lambert rd on Brixton Hill is having a street party today.

At times like this, having three kids proves very costly.
My daughter had a lunch there, two fair ground rides, a ballon and a drink - about £15. that was just for her. my wife and i spent about £30 between. so that's fifty quid for a few hours at a country fair.

To spend all day there with three kids at least a oner!

Crikey. I haven't spent anything yet. Although I did being a couple of beers...

Back too it was great. Same as I remember it more or less. Agree it's very very expensive. 2 smallish trays of food from the Vietnamese truck and 2 pints - £26.

Stuck at work  But will go tomorrow.

I guess there isn't any nonsense about bring your own booze to the event? Last year there were some rumours to that effect, though on the day a lot of people including myself were able to drink without any bother.

I was down earlier with a few cans of Red Stripe (£1 each up New Pk Rd ;)). No problems and there were loads of people with their own.

Anyone know what time Odyssey are due onstage?

Here's the first BBuzz photo report from Day 1.

LOVED IT.

The crowds definitely seemed bigger this year. I think that this might be a combination of the weather and the later starting time. 11am always did seem a little silly.

Far too many highlights as ever. Sheep chap and his Abba dancing sheep raised a smile, as did the marriage proposal scarecrow. The veg sculptures are of course just BONKERS.

Little Veg Courgette :D

I somehow stayed Chucklehead free as well. Those queues...

No problem.

Well apart from someone smashing the window of my van and taking my stereo it's been a lovely day.:)

My god that was busy. Food choice purely on the basis of what queue I felt I could endure.

More knowledgeable about rare sheep breeds than I was.
