John Dawes RIP

Infidel Castro

Producto Falso
Man, this guy was a true legend. I saw him in Llandaf a fair few times. He had a proper air of dignity and decency about him. My old man thought the world shone out of the guy's backside. Captain, coach, genius.... he was there for some of the greatest games and triumphs of the 70s, whether with Wales or the GB&I Lions. Tara John.

I know of him only by reputation. Part of the commentary build up for “that try”, commonly called the best ever, although for me “the try from the end of the world” by Jean-Luc Sadourny sits at the top.

Also for being the only Lions captain to skipper a series victory in New Zealand. Some accolade.

Rest well, John
