Is America burning? (Black Lives Matter protests, civil unrest and riots 2020)

Oh yes you believe the bit where he rose to heaven do you? Got some impartial eyewitnesses to that have you? :taps nose:

Bullshit is it. Utter hand-wringing, pearl-clutching liberal wank.
I gladly celebrate the death of every fash, and every Class Enemy
Who are the class enemies? Business owners, cops, right wing groups like Patriot Prayer and The Prowd Boys? You think anarchist types who trash cities and attack the cops are fighting for the working class? I think they are harming the working class. The businesses small and large they destroy and loot are not the enemies. They employ working class people. These "friends of the working class"are helping Trump. They allow him to portray himself as the 'law and order" candidate. His poll numbers are trending up and Biden's are tending down. He mentions Portland in nearly every speech now. If that evil orange clown is reelected, much of the blame will fall on the 'defenders of the working class."

oh ffs!!
Have you ever read any history? or works of political and economic theory?
YES, the business owners, the capital-owning Elite are the Class Enemy, and the fact that they employ - as in 'use' - working class people is proof of that, not of anything to the contrary. The cops are their bootboys, ditto those militias. they are there to beat down protest and resistance.
You do realise that your paragraph, up to that last sentence, coulod 100% easily come from the mouth of any Republicaan? It's classic conservative, capitalist rhetoric.
you really do need to work out whose side you are really on. Because right now, by defrault, you are actually on trump's. You may not realise it, but you are.

Btw, there is very, very little evidence that endlessly banging the law and order drum, and ditto the race drum, is actually doing Trump's polling much good.

There's a lengthy post on Facebook from a "milita" leader blaming the police for setting up a confrontation between the "milita" and the crowd .
A lot of the so called milita were young armed and under no control by anyone

Has he considered that forming such a group and turning them loose on a civilian population makes the resulting violence his responsibility?

That idiot kid can claim self defence. He is either trying to be arrested by protestors after shooting someone. Or in danger from a mob. Depending on whose side you pick.
Arsehole should never have been there in the first place.

Absolutely, and thats one of the facts that are going to make successfully claiming self defence really difficult for him. Another huge problem in that regard is the killing of Anthony Huber, who was blatantly trying to disarm him rather than present a deadly threat, and who from the footage at least had vastly more justification under self defence (of himself and others) to do what he (Huber) did.

They are probably relying on Rittenhouse becoming enough of a cause celebre over there that Trump pardons him, after loads of money has been donated of course.

Aren’t they going to try to argue that he was part of a ‘well regulated militia’ and so covered by the constitution?

Doubt it - it would just invite someone to ask how it was regulated, who was in charge etc.

Also a lot of the legal argument on the pro-gun side (which is obviously not necessarily the same as the ilk that this clown was with) has been to minimize the "well-regulated militia" bit, precisely because of the danger it presents to their understanding of the rest of the second amendment.
