Insurance company CEO assassinated in New York

Spymaster

Plastic Paddy
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy apparently.

The fella was the boss of a scumbag insurance outfit, notorious for not paying health claims.

I’m not usually one for extra judicial justice but I’m finding it hard to give a toss about this bloke.

The assassin has built up quite an online following, particularly among women who I understand think he's quite cute :D

His face is incredibly clear - hence the cute chat. But this means he doesn't stand a chance either.

Apparently he was incredibly cool about the whole thing. His gun jammed after 2 shots and he just stood there and cleared it expertly, and carried on shooting. Then jumped on an e-bike. As you do.

A hero for our own times. And I’m not even being that sarcastic.

I'm holding out hope he had plans for the escape, multiple plans. Six weeks with no daylight in an anonymous underground space in wider new york city with supplies and nothing more sophisticated than an fm receiver untill you can chance a move to pre prepared caches. No associates. Already out of state and riding the freight rail hobo style. Took a boat out to cuba.

Writing a message on the bullets is very action thriller isn't it?

DENY. DEFEND. DEPOSE.

(Yes I was watching Day Of The Jackal last night, too)

They are now working to determine what the words mean and if they could possibly hint at a motive for the slaying of the 50-year-old.

Curiously, the messages bear similarity to the title of a 2010 book on 'why insurance companies don't pay claims and what you can do about it', called 'Delay, Deny, Defend'.

Critics allege the tactic is used by insurance companies to 'ensure your claim is either never paid or paid at a rate far below what you deserve'.
