Stunning documentary full length 105 minutes. Have watched it twice now. Especially good on music. Would've been interesting to hear more about the politics, although there was some in there. A little mention of Getulio Vargas; the coup of 1964; the dictatorship and favela politics. Nothing about the decision to demote Rio as the capital of Brazil and build Brazillia in the mid 1950s though.
Rio 50 degrees: Difficult to cover such a vast subject, but really enjoyed it from that angle. Great music, and even one of my teenage idols, from Legiao Urbana, and my generation anthem's, Geracao Coca-Cola, were present. They were from Brasilia though, no Rio.
