I saw the title and got excited - just image sticking a digital film back on to my old Olympus OM-2n! The holy grail of digital photography!

But the I saw the thing. Sigh.

Looks like one of the early digital cameras prototypes....

I mean it's interesting and good luck to the guy if anyone wants to chip in but I can't see a market. People who shoot film cameras tend to be ok shooting film, which comes without a suitcase attached to the bottom of the camera. Plus I like those 70s compact SLRs like the OM because they are compact and quick to use, a tiny full frame photo machine that you can put in a small bag and use anywhere with a fast 50.

At one time, a digital back for my F3 etc. would have got me excited, but not any more. Much as I like my film SLRs, and still use them (I get through a roll of film a month), I have grown used to the different styles of photography for film and digital. Just as a motor-driven, autofocus film camera doesn't appeal, so a manual, wind-on digital doesn't.

Ten years ago, yes; now, no thanks.
