Yes exactly as I predicted (for a change) back from a pub full of sad Dutch people (I felt a bit lonely as I was cheering on the Germans)

Yeah goodbye the dutch. And probably deservedly, with all their talent, the looked a second rate team for most of that. Only the period after VP scored did they look a threat.

The Germans looked better, worked harder to close down, created well and they look difficult to beat.

I think the difference is Khaderia and Schewinsteiger versus via Bommell and de Jong. Much more vision and quicker getting it up to the front four.

Germany look awesome - great movement and creativity and Gomez's finishing is fantastic. They may be a bit wobbly defensively - but that may not matter with their attacking prowess. They were a class above the dutch.

Yeah well so far. Spain have only played once and they've started better then they did at the last world cup. Germany do look good but I'm going to wait for a few more games before I make up my mind. The Dutch were very poor last night and Portugal really should have got a result against Germany in the first match.

Germany will - if anything - get better. Young team just starting to find their feet and the understadning between them is excellent. Spain or Italy may be able to beat them - but dunno if their brand of "1-0" possesion football can be described as 'exciting'.

Dunno why. It seems that all they have to do is win their next game by two goals, which is perfectly doable. It seems unlikely that Denmark will get a result against Germany. They could and indeed should be in a worse situation.
