The Queen will formally open the Sage Gateshead during a long-anticipated visit to Tyneside with the Duke of Edinburgh.
Her Majesty postponed her visit to Tyneside a few months ago because of the General Election.
Months of preparation had gone into getting ready for the £70m centre's official opening on April 28 and when the visit was cancelled, staff were disappointed.
But that disappointment turned to delight when the Royal event was re-arranged for next week.
On Friday, October 14, the Royal couple will arrive in Newcastle for a busy schedule of engagements around Tyne & Wear.
The Royal Party arrives at Central Station in the morning and then departs for separate engagements.
The Royal party will tour the area around the Sage before entering the stunning building, where the Northern Sinfonia will perform a short piece of music in the Northern Rock Foundation Hall.
