Help with my Marigolds

Juice Terry

Well the "Great August Slug Wars" are now well and truly won. I've exterminated every slug and snail within a 20ft radius of my marigolds and although they are mostly recovering well from their slug nightmare I appear to have a new problem. Quite a few of the leaves which should be a nice dark green colour have turned light brown, at first I thought they were covered in dust but its actually discolouration and its spreading!!

anyone have any ideas what nasty parasite is causing this and how I can kill them? I can't actually see anything attacking the leaves maybe its some nasty plant disease?

ah I'm afriad I don't know off the top of my head but someone will soon

My marigolds seem to be ok-ish atm, they looked like they were going to be totally devoured the other week by slugs but I think I caught all the buggers

shame the caterpillars aren't so easy to catch

If these are ordinary marigolds it might be "rust", check google for some images to see what it looks like. They do tend to go a bit straggly at the end of the summer, and then they die. Their seeds wiill grow you new plants next year.
