Heel inserts?

like a few other peeps, I have one foot slightly bigger than the other. This causes the inside padding/lining of the heal area of trainers to rub away with the slightly smaller foot.
apart from wearing two pairs of socks etc on the smaller foot what suggestions or solutions are there please?

(my right foot is significantly bigger than my left! I don't know the answer but am keen to hear whether anyone else does.
I have additional complication that I was born with similar to club feet due to shortened tendons, they are straight now but flat as a pancake which can also cause issues with shoe fit)

I bang some industry strength duct tape along the heel of a boot/shoe if it feels like it’s causing a drama/breaking down

That or the expensive option regular compeed pad on heel
