Hating the police

It's amazing the amount of people who want to say 'i am a socialist' but then deny the core point of socialism as an irrelevance for chippy sorts from the 1970s. At best, liberals. Thinking they are socialist because they are a shade left of the tory party. Join Nulab ffs

It doesn't make any sense. You are proud of something you deny exists.

No, i didnt say that at all, what i said was;
Class? I dont know why people get so bothered by it, every society has its 'class system' communist, capitalism, ones as bad as the other,

So working class people seeing themselves getting fucked over by upper class people shouldn't be bothered about class?

We're all in this together.

You said 'the class struggle' was irrelevant, which must mean class is irrelevant. Otherwise people will always be struggling against it's limits.

so because stalinist states had a class system as well, it's ok then

No, I said its irrelevant, poverty, people being exploited etc has gone on from time immemorial and its usually the strongest, cleverest or the most ruthless who are responsible for the 'grinding down; irrespective of any imagined 'class'
look at todays 'aristocracy' union leaders, CEOs of councils and others all earning more than the PM, all in some way exploiting the 'working classes' as does anyone belonging to a pension fund

Oh, so you are a Tory

'aristocracy union leaders' lol.

That would be democratically elected union leaders on behalf of those workers in those unions, whilst the undemocratically elected coalition fucks over workers.

Well, getting fucked over requires that somebody has privilege over another. It's still all based in capitalism and class.

The working class can kiss me arse i've got the foremans job at last, still very true today.

Why do people say 'so and so earns more than the PM?

Just say 'so and so earns too much'. The PM doesn't have some inalienable right to earn more than everybody else on principle.

Have you recognised a union? You pay minimum wage? Proper contracts or casual?

Have you joined your local bosses union yet?

Yes, though only two have bothered to join, we pay above minimum though with having no fee rises in two years I dont know how much longer we will be able to maintain the differential no casual full contracts after 28 weeks probation.
No, nor the masons

No, but it seems a bit strange that we have a situation where unelected council officers can pay themselves such salaries

Makes me laugh when people slag of union leaders in this manner (Crow being the usual favourite). I'd say he's very effective for what he is paid and elected to do - which after all is to push for working and salary interests for his members.

I don't think union leaders should be paid large salaries. I think their salaries should place them in the same position economically as their members.

But I don't think this renders trade unionism redundant or corrupt. When union members strike, they do so to defend their own jobs, having had the democratic opportunity to so. The union leader has nothing to do with it.

I never saw Scargills gaff on Through The Keyhole. I'm imagining North Korean chic with a shade of Caesescu.

And if crow paid himself say 50% more than his average member than i would consider that more than fair
