I’m kinda amazed by this. It’s the game that got me thinking “fuck, I need a phone upgrade” after about 4 years on the same handset. It’s vidually stunning. It’s almost glitch free. It’s absolutely huge. It’s polished to near perfection.
It’s also a tenner. Which, you know. Might’ve put some people off.
But... £1m? In 10 months?
Apple take 30% of that, = £700k. There’s presumably sales tax and licensing fees for the original asset / branding. And overheads. Buildings, computers, NI, whatever.
Idk. I’m amazed that - even as a port - this could’ve broken even.
Perhaps a development team of 5-7?! @£40k? That just doesn’t seem feasible.
Idk. I find this story a bit weird, and slightly dispiriting wrt the prospects for premium (ie, paid for) games. Yet feral (the publishers) seem to be quite cheered about it.

What’s going on? Any ideas?
