Good video editing tutorial for Linux?

I have no video editing skills and I work on Ubuntu.

Are there any outstanding video editors and tutorials to go with them?

Outstanding may be a bit hopeful.

Cinelerra is probably the most serious video editor on Linux. There are a number of tutorials if you search youtube
eg

If you are new to video editing you could start with a simpler application such as Kino.

Cinlerra is a buggy horrible piece of crap. Until novacut comes out, just avoid linux for video editing - you'll save yourself so much pain. I say this as a FOSS enthusiast as well.

teepee is right ish. I have no trouble using kino and cinelerra to edit some home movies and I made a proper DVD of video from my sister's wedding, but you can save a lot of time and bother just using windows movie maker.
if you are a hobbyist install cinelerra
just trying to put some video together? win movie maker
starting a career?learn adobe or another big name suite
