We'll be on our way around midday today, we'll be staying in the area tonight (probably in or near Laycock village). So as to have a really leisurely morning tomorrow, Friday, ahead of getting on site.

Forecast looking hot, hot, hot for Saturday and Sunday especially!

This was about the best Out West for us, and we've been to all of them  :)

For us the highlight bands were Gaz Brookfield and Ferocious Dog of the knowns, and as for the unknowns, The Imprints (on twice  , and got everyone dancing) and J. C. and the Hopeless Sinners on Sunday -- festivaldeb claims we've seen them before but I have my doubts about that, anyway they were amazing musicians :)

Obviously I can't fail to mention The Boothill All Stars who always put on a fabulous show.

The downpour on Friday evening caught us out because it was more rain than forecast, but for the rest of the time, a sunny festival is always a joy. At times too hot I suppose, but I'll take baking sunshine over mud -- what's that again? :p -- at a festival any time :D ... we found the best place to catch some breeze was just inside the back of the main tent :)

Beer and cider at the bar was fantastic also.

And not least, it's always great to hang out with friends :) :)

It was a great festival wasn't it? We had the best time. Standouts were Subgiant (I've kept missing seeing them for years! Finally! I shall be seeking them out again), The Back Wood Redeemers (missed the Boot Hill Gang, and also Ferocious Dog as I had to leave Sunday evening :(), Los Albertos, Swinghoppers, Smerin's Anti-Social Club, and possibly Imprints (think that's who it was).

Smallest festival I've ever been to (about 1,000 I believe), but it certainly punches above it's weight in terms of music. And a lovely vibe, very friendly and a good smattering of silly fun stuff. Limited food choices but what I had was mostly nice (and friendly stallholders), plus good beer/cider (I'm told, I only tried one sort). Kids things were good, climbing wall, wood crafts, oversize Connect 4 and Jenga, card board box city, painty stuff!

What's so good about a small festival is you're only a step away from different music if you want a change. It was stonkingly hot, so it was nice not to have to walk far, and the shade of the main tent was much appreciated.

Lovely festival run by lovely people, highly recommend :)

Well thank you all for the great feedback. We all felt it was the best one yet too.
As you are all probably aware, festivals have their tickets on sale now for 2019 - we've never seen it this early before.
All our Tier 1 tickets for 2019 have sold out and we are now on Tier 2. Given how early everything and considering some events in 2018 have yet to happen, we have released more TIer 2 tickets ( £75) to allow for people's finances to catch up. However these are still limited and once sold out, we will be releasing Tier 3 tickets.
