It was a great festival wasn't it? We had the best time. Standouts were Subgiant (I've kept missing seeing them for years! Finally! I shall be seeking them out again), The Back Wood Redeemers (missed the Boot Hill Gang, and also Ferocious Dog as I had to leave Sunday evening
), Los Albertos, Swinghoppers, Smerin's Anti-Social Club, and possibly Imprints (think that's who it was).
Smallest festival I've ever been to (about 1,000 I believe), but it certainly punches above it's weight in terms of music. And a lovely vibe, very friendly and a good smattering of silly fun stuff. Limited food choices but what I had was mostly nice (and friendly stallholders), plus good beer/cider (I'm told, I only tried one sort). Kids things were good, climbing wall, wood crafts, oversize Connect 4 and Jenga, card board box city, painty stuff!
What's so good about a small festival is you're only a step away from different music if you want a change. It was stonkingly hot, so it was nice not to have to walk far, and the shade of the main tent was much appreciated.
Lovely festival run by lovely people, highly recommend
