Next Tuesday 30th May at Champion Hill, the Football & War network is making another visit to Champion Hill, this time with a talk slightly outside of our usual remit. Our guest speaker will be Chris Lee, founding editor of the Outside Write blog and podcast and also the author of several football books, including "The Defiant: A History of Football Against Fascism", a book in which Dulwich Hamlet and our friends at Altona 93 feature quite prominently
Chris will be giving a talk on "The History of Football and Politics" and as well as the talk, Stanchion Books will be in attendance, selling copies of "The Defiant", as well as Chris's other books, which he will be happy to sign on the night.
There will be another supporting talk by Dr Alex Alexandrou of the Football & War network, who will be talking about the Army FA and football within the British Army.
The event starts at 7pm and is free to all to attend. The bar will be open and we'd love to see as many Hamlet fans (and indeed supporters of any clubs) in attendance.
