Does anybody know in leagues 1 and 2 how the away teams travel? For example Wimbledon are away to Rochdale tomorrow. A good 4 hours in a coach. Or a division lower Newport have to go to Hartlepool. 5 hours on a coach?

Will they have travelled up today for the game tomorrow? Or do they have to watch funds and expensive hotels and travel in the morning? What's the norm around this?

Every week I try to have a double on what I think are the most certaint winners and a double on 2 teams that I think are overpriced. This week: Man Utd and Bradford to win at about 6/4 and Brentford and Crawley to win at about 9/1

If i dont see any bets i like i just put a couple of quid on a " both teams to score" coupon.
At least that way your bets up and running right up until ten to five.

This week:
Watford v Arsenal.
Blues v Norwich.
Huddersfld v Wolves
N Forest v Dirty Leeds
Coventry v Northampton
Crawley v Notts Co

Unlucky - very close. Lot of goals scored today I thought you were going to win

£20 double on Man city /Barcelona - even money.

Also had a bet that Kerry would be leading the all Ireland semi final at half time and full time and Kerry would be leading at half time and Dublin to win. First is 7/1 and second 11/2. £10 each time. Kerry were indeed leading at half time so that's a winning foray.

Halfway there Mr Retro , good luck with the Barca game

Yeah just Norwich and Wolves. Blues/Norwich was a bit of a surprise result
Have you tried btts and win? Decent odds of 3/1 on most games.I have copped a few doubles doing these for a couple of quid.I think you have to pick to many games on btts because of them being mainly odds on.

Break now for the internationals. I hate Internationals from a betting perspective.

Still good action in the lower leagues and I think they are potentially a better betting prospect. If only I could fucking work it out .... For example top of the table Bolton are at home to Southend (who are 18th) next week. Bolton are 4/6 which in my opinion a good, even generous price. I'd have it more like 1/3 but obviously the bookies know better.

I like to lay lower league teams who travel a fairly long way north. I asked similar above in the thread but does anybody know when the Southend squad will actually travel to Bradford? When I played sport I fucking loathed playing away. If we went the night before you had to share a hotel room, which meant I never slept well and then never played well. If we travelled the day of the game I felt shitty after the coach journey and never played well. I think there might be something in it from a betting perspective. Or maybe sometimes you can overthink things ......

Its true you can overthink these geographical aspects. I have very often added Pompey away or Carlisle away to an accy thinking " thats a long journey, theyre gonna be knackered and lose" but they end up getting a 1-1 draw or better.

I really dont know how these teams travel about these days but i do think the old style coach, deck of cards and a beer is good for team spirit but i doubt it happens much these days.

I've seen these coupons but not had a go yet. Will look at the games and odds after the boring international break.
I know league one and two are playing but its so unsettled down there. Look at your own mob, hammered by Peterboro then go up to Chesterfield and hammer them.

Plymouth had great away form last seasons as well so i don't think mileage traveled matters. Some teams are set up to play more attacking football away from home and some home teams just sit back and defend.I think Palace had a good away record for a while because they went and had a go.

Theres also that aspect where a team and its fans are pissed off with things so that a home game is worse than playing 300 miles away ( Charlton, Villa).

They done us 5-3 last season so i wasn't surprised. I have not really bothered with studying any form yet as there ain't much to go on. I don't like betting on something where im just tossing a coin so i will wait a few more weeks. Then im on the second divisions in Spain,France and Portugal, fucking draws galore

Good point.I have seen Millwall players melt when the crowd turn on them. Not good for the confidence of the poor little Lambs.:D

Yes. I have edited it

Nice one Sealion.
Shame you didn't bundle them all together but still a nice return.

Where do you do your form analysis for these leagues?
Someone recommended WinDrawWin to me should i ever venture out of the English leagues for a bet.

I use Summary - Segunda División - Spain - Results, fixtures, tables and news - Soccerway.
Just click on the team you are after and all the recent stats are there. I also believe a lot of the games are fixed to draw in the lower divisions around europe.Lots of injury time og's and penalties flying about.;)
