Football betting and odds, discussion and other gambling stuff

You know, when I worked in a bookie one of the things we were to watch for was punters who were convinced that the betting machines were rigged. Sure sign of someone developing a problem.

It's one thing not having a clue about betting, implied probability, over-rounds etc but to start ranting about a bomb scare being a fix is a little off the wall.

Missed the point there. I wasn't even betting on the game! Man u don't have to risk their big players now that they know the city result. Watch them field a second team on Tuesday and rest their players for the FA cup on Saturday!

Also, I used to work at the head office for Cantor Spreadfair on the football desk, I don't need some jumped up ex-cashier at a high street bookmaker lecturing me on over rounds and impaired probability Thanks x

fucking MAn u scaming cunts!!!!!!!!!!!}

utter scam! Suspect package, and 5 fire engines at old trafford. Since when do the fire Brigade deal with suspect packages? Thats a job for the police and the bomb squad.

Wankers, wanted to to see the man city score first before they play the cup final.

Scum

Ah the old plant a fake bomb in the stadium forcing a replay till after your rivals match scheme.

The Need for Attention

My favorite part...

"Internet Trolling" is a good example of persistent, abnormal behaviour. This is the often anonymous use of forums to post irrelevant, disruptive, insulting or abusive messages, designed to infuriate or upset members, leading to replies, counter criticism, and arguments and taking the forum way off topic. The troll gets a kick from single-handedly moving others to spend their time and emotional energy on him or her, and even on each other. The best way to deal with Internet trolling, and other adult behaviour which is primarily intended to elicit attention, is to not respond, to not engage and to thus deny the person the attention they seek. If the perpetrator is denied the attention, there's a chance that they will think twice before taking this approach again. If they get attention, they might well do it again."

That given, your now on block!

Back to betting... I'm going to Back Brighton at 5.6 (to qualify), If they score early, or even in the first half that price should come right in and I'll be able to lay it off lower.

My favourite part from your link:

Narcissistic Behaviour
Feels superior, special, unique etc and needs to be admired; arrogant; exaggerates achievements and talents; preoccupied with ideas of success, power etc; has unreasonable expectations of favourable treatment. Callous: Takes advantage of others to achieve his or her ends; no recognition or consideration of others' feelings. Intolerant of criticism and defeat, responding with defiant counterattack. Relates to others in a significantly or extremely different way to average individuals in the same culture.

Had you sussed as a trolling wanker ages ago, and you blocked me for calling you out on it.
Now you're blocking other people who call you out on your trolling.
Sad wanker

LOL, you've not even been here 1 year. And called me out when? Banned returner no doubt!

Your a classic keyboard warrior who accuses people of being trolls because you don't have a rational comeback.

And here you are, on another thread! doing it again! Why did i ever unblock you! BAck on you go. Give me a nudge when you've grown up or you've got a girp of yourself, cus right now you got nothing to say and you say it too loud.

I'm sticking you back on block for your own sanity! Following me round on a internet forum, from thread to thread simply looking for an argument can't be good for your mental health! I wish you all the best.

Indeed. If would be utter madness for Utd to even try to profit from the situation by abandoning a game that didn't need to be abandoned. Would risk Premier League inquiry at the very least if they'd done something like that against police advice.

If they did this, Leaving aside the criminal charges and civil culpability I can't even imagine the consequences when the FA got through with them. Massive fines, docking points off next season and automatic relegation would be most likely.

Yet ffser thinks everyone else is trolling.

No i don't nor have i suggested they set the whole thing up. The situation arose and they took advantage of it IMO.

This has happened before and never required a game to be called off. Police blunder sees fake 'bomb' left at Wolves big match « Express & Star

You certainly seemed to be implying they did it deliberately in 702 and 706 - before realising how ridiculous you were sounding by 719.

Fwiw, even in the crazy hour there must have been between finding it and abandoning the game, it's almost certain that someone remembered there was a training exercise recently, though the actual lines of communication within the club and to the police would have been a bit frantic. They probably called it off knowing there was a reasonable chance it had something to do with that, but couldn't take the risk. The real story here is an almighty fuck up by the training company. Will be interesting in the next few days to see if they turn out have been cowboys with a bit of front, or if they were real 'experts'.

Yes you're right. A realistic looking bomb was reported on the grounds and Van Gaal immediately remembered the training drill from earlier in the week, decided that this must be fake and immediately sought to seize the opportunity to call off the match.

If only he was that imaginative brave and with a flair for improvisation with his team tactics.

Next you'll be telling us how Arsenal used the 7/7 bomb attacks to cover up a late transfer bid.

I've upset a heard of sheep again with an opinion.
fuck them people.
anyway, i know next to fuck all about gambling apart from the odd night out at the dogs, but i been getting bookies bonuses recently and was wondering about the money to be made doin arbitrage stuff? is it doable? has it been rinsed and it's too late? whaddya reckon?

Matched Betting
Yes its doable, but its limited. Eventually you've signed up to everybook maker and exhausted every free bet offer out there. But yea if you've got the time, you can make a couple of grand. It does require quite a bit of admin, moving your money around between accounts etc.

These guys offer a service (for a monthly fee) where they inform you of what opportunities to make risk free bets everyday. Matched Betting Made Easy | Profit Accumulator

Worked nicely. Managed to Brighton off lay after the first goal around 3.5
