Films that capture Britain between 88-94

Just watched Bhaji on the Beach - a really sweet British film - but it was strange to see Britian in (in this case) 1993.

I'd love to see a few more films from this period but can't think of any. Can anyone think of some others?
(Not just films made at that time, but films that actually show some of the cultural landscape of the period)

I can think of a few more blatantly 80's films, but I guess what makes this period special is that, in my mind anyway, there was a distinct cultural shift from 88 onwards (thanks to all the drugs?) that ran through the early 90's. By late 90's things get slicker...

EDIT: just thought of one in "How to get ahead in advertising" 1989 - but ideally im looking for films with normal people and middle england (whatever that is) in them, as opposed to yuppies.

Trainspotting

The quintessential film about 80s britain IMHO. The first time I'd seen anyhting on film or TV that accurately reflected the world i was living in.

Also - Riff Raff, Naked.

When was "Brick is Beautiful" - it was a TV drama, that was around mid to late 1980s I think?

Giles..
