Don't know if anyone watches Let's Talk FPL on YouTube, but most weeks he does a stream for an hour or two before the deadline, and just before the deadline today there was a massive panic/scramble as the Ronaldo rumours started.
He ended up wildcarding (which he'd had in his back pocket ready to go) which included getting rid of Ronaldo, but because the news wasn't confirmed by the deadline was not happy/confident about it at all
Imagine he will be now (although, as you say, the bastard'll probably still come of the bench and score two
).

I watch some of his content but his deadline streams are incredibly annoying so I dont usually bother with those. Last minute stress is not how I play this game, and Id rather get last minute team news from a less hectic source.

Well most people arent having a fun week so far, although in another mini league I am battling with someone who has Townsend and someone else who has Hwang.
Those whose captains havent played yet will feel that this could be the week they gain an advantage.
On paper this week for me looked like it could be very bad or very good. I still have enough players left to salvage the week if everyone performs, but I was already ready for disaster having spent 8 points on transfers. It remains to be seen whether I'd have got more points without doing those transfers. It seems rather likely that I will lose my head to head battle this week, it isnt impossible for me to win but it is rather improbable.
Hopefully tomorrows games will make fpl more enjoyable than it has been today, and that the picture changes again after this international break. I'll be glad of the break this time, even though it will make this weeks disasters linger longer in the mind.

Always a great feeling when that happens. I used to specialise in that but I dont think I'll be doing it as often this season.
I also dont mind when I lose a h2h game but would have also lost it even if I hadnt spent points on transfer, which is whats happened to me this week.
This week sucked but at least I didnt really learn anything from it that will encourage me to splurge a load more points on transfers straight away. Hopefully the international break wont lead to that via injuries etc.
