Seriously, that was weird. The second goal (quite late in the game) was relayed to me in the pub (being January and not having floodlights we kicked off early so were in the pub).
I still thought we'd win.

When Weston-super-Mare were the lowest ranked team in the cup, they outplayed Northampton Town for 30 mins.
They had a man sent off for an accdental handball in the area. 1-0 and ten men. FUcked.
But the first 30 mins means we can beat anyone. Well, if Northampton are 'anyone' (if they beat MAnu on Sky then I can progve my point, but they have to beat Rotherham before that).

After those hectic two, close together, cup rounds, the pace will now slow down a wee bit.
Round 4 will be in Gameweek 25, February 10/11th
Round 5 - GW 30, March 10/11th
this is so that the Final can be in GW 36 - to be played on May 1. Which seems nicely appropriate to me.
Any replay will be held in GW 38 - last day of the season. If by some miracle a further replay is required, it will be in GW 37. Stupid? Yes. But no more so than the away goals rule.

Anyway, bb, can I suggest a slight rejig... Its really unlikely but
I'd hate anyone to win it on a stupid replay where I have to substitute all of my championship winning side (obviously the last 10 word are [anyone...] but bring it forward 2 gameweeks just in case).
Seriously, if its decided on game week 37, we really could be asking for trouble. a 1 in a whatever chance, but true.

hmmm, I am, of course, prepared to listen to any suggestions. But I do have a romantic attachment* to the idea of a Mayday/last day of season Final. The chances of their actually being a second replay are so remote, I like the absurdity of having it a week earlier.
& wouldn't you just be playing your generally best team anyway? if you have to make last minute rejigs.....well that's the dilemma of the manager innit?
