F1 2019

So how important is quali for this particular race? Is it a track which allows for much overtaking, or more towards a Monaco style procession?

It could be that Renault have changed the MGU-K on both their cars so could both get penalties

FIA are talking to the teams about getting rid of the Q2 tyre rule and give the team the choice of tyre after qualifying is over, currently cars who progress to Q3 have to start the race on the tyres they got their fastest lap in Q2

Lots of overtaking opportunities here also 3 DRS zones this year, but to overtake you need to be faster than the car in front and I think the fastest cars will start from the front and finish there ;)

Wow, just learned of Max’s penalty, courtesy of Badgers. He will be spitting chips and might still win the race. Obviously rather silly of Max not to lift off though, because he surely had pole in his pocket at that point and a tiny lift of throttle seems to be enough to satisfy the stewards in these situations.

Ironically it helps Hamilton in his championship quest, as he’s now up to third while Bottas remains P6. 1:18.8 for Russell in P19 and 1:18.6 for Grosjean in P18. Russell SO close to out qualifying a Haas, gotta deserve a mention!

From pole last year to 13th this year and after being disqualified last race, Danny Ric is really going through testing times. I think there needs to be big changes at the top of the Renault F1 team for them to move up the grid.

Hard to see no penalty given here
I really am trying hard to like Max Verstappen but he is such an arrogant cunt sometimes it makes it very difficult. "I was aware that Valtteri crashed," Verstappen said. "Do we have to go there? To safety? I think we know what we are doing, otherwise we would not be driving an F1 car. It's qualifying and, yeah, you go for it. But like I said before, if they want to delete the lap, then delete the lap". He should count his blessings that they didn't give him a ten place grid penalty, I would have, he showed complete disregards for safety and I would have punished him for that.

Evening all. Odds on a first corner crash? Two Ferraris, an irked Max Verstappen and Lewis all arriving at the end of the long straight at maximum speed on coldish tyres in the thin, high altitude air? Nah, it’ll be fine!!

The start is going to be interesting

Something is up with my WiFi (Virgin cunts) so the picture keeps blurring

Agree with 1%er regards Verstappen. He is a very talented driver but petulant as fuck. His attitude sucks and he is quick to whinge when he is affected. There is a professional balance between driving aggressively and being a cunt..
