Teams shouldn't build their strategy around any one driver.

Nico Iceberg being a case in point...

McLaren will be thinking that Alonso staying would be a bonus, but they have to secure a long-term power supplier that can compete at the front of the grid.

Yes I think all the talk about Alonso is just that "talk", the team are looking at the team and keeping Alonso would just be a bonus

I can't see carlos sainz jr staying with Toro Rosso if they switch to Honda, that would be a massive step backwards for him, he could take Palmer's place at Renault, Kvyat is on his way out to be replaced by Pierre Gasly anyway I believe.

So I think next week we will hear that McLarean have Renault power and Toro Rosso are going to Honda with Sainz moving to Renault (driver line up maybe announced later).
