I have a pal who keeps a sports calendar wall-chart in his office. Any social invitations are carefully scrutinised in case they conflict with a designated sporting event.

For example all England international rugby games are blocked out - massive pub events, and really not suited to precede a dainty little dinner party.

When I say "pub event" I mean an intergalactic drinking contest, with my mate representing the Milky Way.

I have a feeling they kind of invited themselves, they are not in Brazil much. My old lady tends to only have F1 fans here on race weekends when races are during the day, she is a fan herself. If the race is at night (Brazil time) it doesn't really matter.

I couldn't listen to the sky commentary as every time I put my headphones on someone asked me a question  But I guess Monaco is the best race for this to have happened, almost beer-o'clock so it isn't the end of the world:thumbs:

I didn't watch qualifying but it just does not seem to have been Mercedes's weekend at all.

That on its own is remarkable given the last few years.

Hammy's been off-colour all weekend. Handling, balance, whatever. Bottas did all right, considering he's not done well here before.

It's on bt sport If you have virgin or sky

It's free in virgin not sure about sky

Bt sport streams might be easy to find

how do the americans watch sports

the amount of dead air whilst the american adverts kick in

"don't do this to F1"

*shakes fist at liberty*

:mad::mad:

I took some Americans to see the Le Mans 24 hour for its first afternoon. They were over the moon to be there but were less than impressed with the spectator facilities which to be honest are a little run down. If it had been an American event it might have attracted families but that isn't the demographic that goes to the French event.

well the indy 500 snake pit has dubsteps bands hosted by rick flair (the 60 odd year old wrestler )

not sure the french would go for that either

I supposed that the Indi 500 would be over 500 miles, but my online reporting is saying they are at 160 / 200 ......... oh no, that is laps not miles duh :)
