Explore the Expired - an exhibition of photos of abandoned places, in an abandoned place.

fucthest8

Cool people die horrible, preventable deaths.
So, just got back from this and it was amazing.

Poltimore House near Exeter is "one of the great historic estates of the county". It is also a wreck, having been abandoned from 1987 to 2000. So, what better place to hold an exhibition of photographs taken in similarly abandoned places?

Divided up into "Zones", different parts of the house each host a different set of photographs, starting in the gardens with Mental Health Establishments.

The house and grounds are quite a location anyway and have some pretty odd spaces of their own, so I got busy taking pics on my phone (so, be kind) and I present to you a selection of images for your entertainment.

More info on the links below, plus here's a full list of the zones

Mental Health Establishments; Residential; Religious; Military; Autopsy; Leisure; Confinement;
Industrial; Health & Science; Education

The exterior of the house, covered in it's own protective tin roof.

Nice one. Was looking for somewhere to drag the children to tomorrow.

Even my teenagers enjoyed it :D

E2A: Make sure you walk round the whole gardens as well, not just the exhibition, really very cool
