European campsite recommendations

so, weve got the wheels an were gonna use them!

grand tour of Europe next summer for 3 weeks, maybe more. looking for really good campsites suitable for a big tent and family of 4.

tentative route will be germany/ austria /switzerland/ Slovenia/France. maybe czech maybe Hungary , but noit sure yet .We will do some hotels in cities to ease the journey and check stuff out as well.done france before, do thats not top of the list.

open to suggestions- good views and locations are the priotity- I know its early, but decent places get booked up quickly

It's not on your route, or anywhere near, by others might find this useful: there's a capsite in a park in the middle of Lisbon which is both lovely and really easy to get to using public transport.

Lots of lovely shade and a soft pine needle floor to pitch on!

yup - off our route, but after suffering 40c in Spain the other year with no shade or escape from the heat, we have decided to do "lakes and mountains" and a bit of central european culture!
