Interview with the non-league Messi here where he talks a lot about his time at Champion Hill.

“Dulwich Hamlet is the reason I’m a professional today, so I’m really grateful to the coaches and the club. I’ve been to a few games [since I left]... I think for my first game there was only about 60 fans there. By the time I left I think we were averaging about 1,500. It’s a great club.”

I honestly don't think I'd be a Hamlet fan today if it wasn't for Erhun. In my early days of coming to games it was wanting to see him play that kept me coming back.

Almost Erhun's first game for Dulwich was away at Maidstone. He was a substitute but didn't play. Bonus point for all those that can't remember the score!

His very first game was off the bench at Godalming in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round, and he bagged a late equaliser to earn us a replay, which we won on kicks from the penalty mark. He'd appeared in pre-season but had to sit out the early games as we hadn't received international clearance following his spell in Turkey.

It seems extraordinary that he was left on the bench at Maidstone, who were strong favourites to win the division. We conceded two early goals, then were on top for a long spell and wasted several good chances including a penalty. If the plan was to get Erhun on early in the second half that was blown out of the water when we conceded two more goals in the first five minutes after half time. It was damage limitation after that and I recall youth team striker Richmond Ayoola making a rare first team appearance while Erhun remained on the bench. (5-0. Ouch!)

Never saw him play for The Hamlet.... was there for his football league debut at posh (as Latics fan)
