Erhun interview in the SLP

"I've played professionally in Turkey and I have never seen fans like this. The banners and the noise they make home and away, all that travelling and they always stick with the team." Wow, that's a big compliment!

That's a massive vindication of our enthusiastic support even when the team are not playing well. I spoke to Kevin James last week who confirmed that all the players absolutely fucking love us.

Wait, wait, wait, calm down! It doesn't matter what the players think, what about Stevo and The Otta on the East Dulwich Forum? Are we still ruining football?

If he goes to Luton that would be great, not just cos I'd still get to watch him regularly, but cos hopefully we'll get a pre-season friendly which would mean I get to be in the unique position of supporting both teams simultaneously

How would Luton take it if we came all pink n blue for his debut!! :D

"You're a Thamesmead lad, right? Welling!!! These Brixton sods don't know what it's like there. Well done. Good luck". My post-match words to Erhun Saturday. Or words to that effect. I'll not drink strong Polish lager again.

What a player, what a man. If he goes Luton I'll go (and I'm sure I'll have company) to the first available Luton game provided Dulwich aren't playing.

Great vindication of everyone's efforts

I was glad Erhun mentioned banners/flags

As stated previously believe banners act as a backdrop and a canvass for our team

We change the physical environment

an old quote which amazingly refers to the Rabble states

“Without a banner, they will call us a rabble. With a banner we march with a reason. Together many banners gives us strength. A sea of banners and we are a movement.”

Its obviously not just banners we need the songs, the music, the passion,
everyone has their part to play

think we have the banners and songs sussed still need some work on musical accompaniment and amplification

Thank you Erhun - don't think we will see his likes again (for a while) but we can dream

we are Dulwich Hamlet and we have already won the moral victory

"think we have the banners and songs sussed still need some work on musical accompaniment and amplification"

Banners and songs have always been part of football. The rest is part of the modern game to try to manufacture an atmosphere in soulless all-seater professional stadia.
I have no problem with the odd drum, I don't like them personally, but accept some people do. but to do anything more than that at non-league....all I can say is AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL

We will end up being led by a trumpet, or something like that. A note is played and we all sing to order! keep it loud, keep it spontaneous, keep it fun! FOR FUTURE FOOTBALL

As for going up north to watch Luton Town, much as I'd like to, and may well do at some stage....train fare, admission, programme, bit of food and drink...to be honest I'd rather 'waste' fifty quid or so, that it would cost, to follow The Hamlet at an away game...

I'll save it for Luton v Pompey!
