it cost them thouseands just to tow everyone in on Friday, I counted nine tractors most running continously for 10 hours which dosen't come cheap.

£200 an hour

 indeed .... I could guess at the time that all that tractor towing must have come expensive, but I had no idea that the cost was that high! :(

Good on em for all their efforts .......

bloody hell. surely there must be a better way to sort the problem...

i was thinking, couldn't they let the grass grow long (a la Strawberry Fair) it would be a LOT less muddy cos the grass just lies down and provides a kind of carpet.

if they did this, they could use all that tractor dosh to get better bands.

<scarpers> :D ;)

It looked like an arable farm - not too much grass

The car parking would have been better on wheat stubble, not rape, tbh.

Mixed farm I think, arable + dairy I reckon

Really? Me and spoony had a good look from the tractor and couldn't see much evidence of cows :hmm:

my Britains farm was a mixture of both.

oooh that reminds me, the missus was saying to me the other day that she still needs to buy me an anniversary present....

You remember where we were camping? That was grassy fields that was ;)
That's not a lot of grass though, not really enough for cows unless they only have a dozen or so :hmm:

I thought that was more likely to be where they'd left it fallow

I think the farm is probably a lot bigger than the bit we saw.

I dunno, am just guessing *shrugs*. A lot of land to set over to pasture just for a festy.

Anyway, not fallow, sown to a ley. Call yourself a bumpkin??

Not really. They have to rotate the crops anyway. There was no cow shit anywhere. The only bit that smelled like it had livestock near it was Wigon Casino and that smelled of chicken shit
