it cost them thouseands just to tow everyone in on Friday, I counted nine tractors most running continously for 10 hours which dosen't come cheap.

£200 an hour

indeed .... I could guess at the time that all that tractor towing must have come expensive, but I had no idea that the cost was that high!

bloody hell. surely there must be a better way to sort the problem...

i was thinking, couldn't they let the grass grow long (a la Strawberry Fair) it would be a LOT less muddy cos the grass just lies down and provides a kind of carpet.

if they did this, they could use all that tractor dosh to get better bands.

Not really. They have to rotate the crops anyway. There was no cow shit anywhere. The only bit that smelled like it had livestock near it was Wigon Casino and that smelled of chicken shit
