I've managed to say birdo in a Brummie accent about 4 times since I got back - I think it might have caught on :D

I'm still embarrassed after failing to understand how tent zips worked on Friday night and trashing our new tent and then going on to break anything that came near me in the morning.

I managed to get my hair caught in tent zips three times in quick succession on Sunday night, one after the after. Crispy's first response was to take a photo rather than rescue me

Fantastic photos btw ed, is it really in it's sixth year? However...

I feel utterly ashamed to have no idea where these two photos were taken.

More generally I should have made a bit more of an effort to explore and find people. Particularly feel a bit rubbish after hearing trashy spent so much time at the campsite on her ownsome. :( Oh well, next year, eh?

The first pic is the little stage in a tent right next to Strummerville (run by the town crier's 15 year old son!), and the other pic is one of the stalls further down.

Apparently, the festie is indeed in its sixth year.

Zora lied to me!;) I thought she said the festie was in it's first year when she went the year before me (I've been 3 times now).

The first year was more of a private party though wasn't it? and it grew from there.
I know it happened as a 'festival' the year before I went first (and I've been 3 times then missed this year)

fuck me how did we miss so many of you:D (must be crap speed)

bloody wicked time, glad they made inroads towards killing of the nearly fatal debt from last year.

They chose to scale down rather than open up to a fucking bacardi bar etc which they could easily have done and made a handsombe prophit, instead they kept the festival small.

As for the bands, they were the main reason I went (other than knowing the organiser and not having seen her for over 10 years)

Back to the Planet kicked arse.
Los Albertos as always a sterling preformance.
Tragic and Tofu delivered as usual
and pronghorn were pukka.

Dreadzone pretty dull
Sham were a sham

Zion train reminded me of back in the day they really hit their groove (probs coz of the vibe)

I saw people i hadn't seen for over two decades and had time to sit and catch up.

the food was a bit pricey except malinkeys which was reasonable (for the quality).

and for the price anyone complaining can fuck off, it cost them thouseands just to tow everyone in on Friday, I counted nine tractors most running continously for 10 hours which dosen't come cheap.

The security were descrete, of course there was a police presence (mostly kept to the gate mind and I never saw them on site) where the fuck do you get that kind of freedom on mass nowdays?

I loved that many of the bands had their kids performing, really summed up the inclusive vibe.

I will be getting an early bird ticket next year and also meeting a few more of you for a bit longer.

PS (thanks Tanks/Milsey for the Jack Daniels exactly when i needed it):D

 I am gonna sell insulated blanckets so the tree huggers won't get burned:)

do you think there's a market for that?

I'm sure I saw you accepting some illuminated poi from a tiny person dressed as a black cat, and whirling them about like a maniac. Or I could have imagined it :D :hmm:
