I'd better get blagging for this (or do you need a hand with PROD, Dub?)
I'll chip in a fiver if you put my tent up, pump up my air mattress and give me a piggy back ride around the festival for the weekend :p

Is this the official Endorse-It 2007 thread then?

If so, just for the record: gergl and I are going. (I am already daydreaming about it, lounging around with a nice pint of Old Rosie's and all the rest of it. Yay, we'll all have such fun. :) )
:D Now I've paid for my tickets, i cant stop daydreaming, I'm even thinking of which cozy blankies to bring!
I'm gonna get one of them solar showers coz mr D asked if theres showers and i said yes:D

What happens if its raining before getting there, do you still pitch your tent up?

OK - have it confirmed now.

the PROD Crew will once again be in the Wig-On Casino Tent every night, from when the bands finish till when they kick us out.

Confirmed are Randy & Earl (Dubversion and Ouchmonkee) and a couple of other DJs to be confirmed.

Friday Night - Juke Joint
You come and choose the music we play from the 1000s of tunes in our Juke Joint wallet. It works a bit like Argos, but on drugs

Saturday Night - Wig-On Casino
All the best 60s grooves - northern soul and Motown and Stax, ska, garage, mod and r&b

Sunday Night - Randy & Earl's Old Record Club
A stomping selection of the cream of 50s sounds - big band jazz, rockabilly and rock'n'roll, R&B, gospel and the like.

See you there then :)

If you let me in ... :p :D

ETA on Thursday morning : that Saturday night fandango sounds particularly good ... :)

Last time I was due to see the Tragics, I didn't ...

They were so drunk (probably) that they didn't make it on stage ... at a festie quite a while ago now ...

They were P.A.I.N. in disguise ... ;)

urgent info re:travel please

I've got some rail vouchers that are expiring this week and I hope that I'll be able to use them towards the ticket to get to the festie.

How to get there though? Is the best (or even only way) from London to get the train to salisbury and the bus from there? Where can I find information on the busses though - I seem to remember from last year that they are quite infrequent and would like to find a good connection from salisbury. Haven't been able to find anything online , but mebbe I'm just stupid. Help and advice pleae!

I cycled there from the local (tiny) train station (not Salisbury) last year and then cycled back to Salisbury - which is a bit further but better connected. There was also a local bus route running via Salisbury (but very sporadically to be honest).

I haven't gotten tickets yet as there is a possibility I'll be away for work then - I really hope they don't sell out (if I can go).

Seriously thinking about this one myself, too.

One thing: all these people like Lee Scratch Perry and whatnot - they're not mentioned on the site - is this just useless hippiness not updating the site?

Dorset's not that far for me to travel .... Hmmm ... <scratches hippy beard> ;)

they haven't updated the site, and i'm sure the organisers would piss themselves if they heard they were being called hippies :D

(or drive a truck into your house :D )

Salisbury is the best bet. Wilts & Dorset is the bus company you need. i think a bus (to Blandford?) goes right past

Cheers. I still can't work out the timetables on their website but will give their ticket office a ring tomorrow.

It was William's description a page or two back that did it - I blame him. ;)

i reckon someone could make a mint and do a good turn by running a minibus from salisbury to the site. charge a couple of quid, everyone's happy..

wonky!:D
Sound's great!

actually I noticed on the forum that they're about to sell out of under 10's passes, so if your thinking of taking any little 'uns (and I will be, because it's a good managable sized festival for kids) you need to get moving.

Why don't you buy a ticket, and sell it on if you can't go? Bound to be someone who wants it, and the tickets are transferrable.

Ticket bought. :)

Now just need a lift, a tent and some friends to go with ... :D

William: I desperately need an ale / cider breakdown please.

This is, obviously, much more important than the lineup.

Well it's an option but there are 5 of us. I'm just going to have to hang on.

:) if you get really stuck you could get a train or coach to bournemouth - I live there and you could get a lift with me.

just a thought!:)

I'm really looking forward to this now. :)

I haven't been to a festival since Glastonbury about three years ago (and I don't have particularly fond memories of that due to it's size and the way things have changed).

So it'll be good to go to a little one with a decent atmosphere again. :)

A couple of questions:

Is the campervan bit the same as the normal camping? Only I'd like to camp with me mates who've got a campervan (I've just got a tent).

Is the camping separate from the entertainment bit? The question I'm really trying to ask here is the $64,000 question that separates yer Glasto's from yer Readings - 'Can you take your own beer in?' :D

Looking forward to seeing Lee Scratch Perry for the first time ...

Campervan area was the other side of the hedge from the camping area. A stone's throw, and camping in the campervan area is entirely possible with no-one gainsaying you.

The camping and entertainment area are seperate and there is a 'gate' to go through between the two, but it was all pretty relaxed last time.

You aren't supposed to bring your own booze into the entertainment area, but enforcement of this seemed relaxed. I think they didn't want people selling beer and it was probably a condition of the licence.
