Sorry to hear that Shirl, but your health and well being always comes first innit.

Get yourself glued back together and do Endorse It bigger and better next year :D

You've got 369 days worth of planning after all!

Thanks chuck. As well as 369 days to plan, I'll have quite a few festies to practice at :D

does anyone know what the situation with dropping off all our camping gear is? can we drive into the family camping field, dump tent etc and then go park up?

thing is i've just buggered my back again (3rd time in just over a week) and i don't fancy either a) having to persuade mrs elvis to hump all the heavy stuff, or b) shafting my back again before the festy even starts.

from Endorse-it web site:

"For everyone's safety we do not allow cars into the campsite or the festival arena." :(

think i'll email Flounder

If the set up is like last year then you won't be able to drive to the family camping area.

What time are you getting there? I'm sure there will be someone around to lend a hand.

I think I am fucked unless I can get a lift from Newcastle or sort something out with National Express. Yesterday I could have bought a return ticket to London for £18 but today they want £70 and I can't afford it. I'll fiddle about with different times in a bit but at the moment I don't know if I can be fucked. I don't even have a tent or a sleeping bag which is my biggest concearn. I'd of borrowed my bro's but he's away camping in Wales. If I am to go I need to travel down on the Wednesday or the Thursday.

This serves me right for only deciding I was going to go on Thursday last week.

Not a happy bunny today. Off to sulk now :(

Can you get to Bradford? I *might* be able to help you out from there

I don't want if, buts or maybes. I'd like a bit of certainty that I am going down and going to arrive at my destination. I have asked on a couple of festival forums if anyone is going down from Newcastle.

What day are you going down?

£22 for a return to Bradford and it is only (ha!) four hours :)

Fuck this I am in a bad mood now, hate living up here. It is the root of all my problems. I'll be back later.

If you can get to Bradford on thursday, and you are housetrained/housebroken you could get a lift and a place to stay thursday night - then a lift to the festival on the friday.

Still don't know why you don't hitch. It's not a bad hitch down the A1/M1 to London. From there it's not too bad either.

He's right, that road is an easy corridor to hitch. Take you a few hours to get down here by the power of your thumb. Much simpler that buses and that.

After a weekend of pain and hardly any sleep trying out not sleeping in my comfy bed, I've decided there's no way I can camp this weekend :(

If anyone wants a cheap ticket, mine's now going spare. £50 - pm if you're interested.

I'm really sorry to miss this but I need my ribs to mend before I can camp. I'm now hoping for improvement by Solfest on the 24th.
:( Oh shirl - I was really looking forwards to meeting you.

Ribs need to heal properly - awful pain isnt it, even a little pussycat sneeze is a major AAHH!!

I hope you heal quickly sweetie:) try to walk upright (as opposed to hunched over)

Sorry to miss you too. I am walking fairly upright, just trying not to move my right side as I move, I look a bit daft

And often much quicker. I used to hitch Cardiff to Brighton every couple of weeks and 90% of the time did it faster than the train.

The other 10% was when I made the mistake of getting dropped off near Reading. NEVER hitch in Essex or Berkshire.

Shirl, thats a bugger - sorry to hear that.

I have got a home for your tiket if you're not going to use it - have PM'd you

Oh - that's a shame. :(

Ticket sorted (subject to Royal Mail!). Lift sorted. Just need to get a sleeping bag now.

Such a shame Shirl, just caught up with this ... :(

We'll all miss you, but you'll be back and better and badder at Solfest anyway! :)

Looks like I'll have to abandon the buying of glass bottles idea -- oh well, will be happy to buy one or two of Idaho's exotic creations .... :)

Tort : PMing you re pickup ...

Weather news : CENSORED, for now. Not looking great for the coming w/e :( , but no certainties yet, and I haven't had time yet to check all my sources. Plus the details on various links keep changing ...

Moar later etc.

I think the weather will be alright. Most of the wet stuff seems to be bound for the north half of the country. Reasonable chance of a high pressure ridge nudging the south west.

Just a quick note on ticket sales....

By roughly the first week in July we had already sold the same amount as last year and sales have been steadily increasing over the last month. Any unsold tickets will be available ( although more expensive) on the gate. Please note that these are weekend tickets only, but will be available in reducing amounts for every day over the weekend. gates are open from 8am-10pm every day.

:) Oo Oo Mr flounder Sir!

my sis has asked if you do day tickets? She's babysitting my son and was gonna pop to endorseit for the day if able?
