You two did ask us for a lift ages ago and I said yes there's room...did you change your mind ? :D

or do you think i smell of wee :(

no, did not forget. and in fact would love to join you guys. i just thought i will look into the trains in case you two have more people who want to come with you. so basically we are flexible but love to come with you. should be a laugh :)

let's talk about the logistics closer the date then :)

I haven't given a thought to how we're going to get there yet.
I suppose I should look into it at some point.

I only thought about how to get to Glastonbury last week though. :D

if anyone else is going by train from London I have a network railcard so I can get two extra people a third off the fare.

I'm not going to have the wagon alas - which is a shame as I can sleep in it.

Might have to rent a car to get there, as public transport is so crap.

Cool  Yes it is a tad early to be discussing lifts in August...:D

Anyone know if there are buses from Yeovil to the site?

I'll be getting a train up from Cornwall so Salisbury's going too far East.

I've just noticed that Cerne Abbas is nearby, too.

I've always wanted to see this fella:

I'll probably be driving from Exeter if you want to share the pollution.

.

Train from Waterloo to Salisbury. Like you say this is within the Network area, so the discount card will save money .,.
I have such a card too, so if people travelled with the card holders they get a third off. Feel free to make me or Stig an offer!
But my complication MIGHT be that I'm not sure yet whether I'm going back to London or not after Endorse It. May linger in the South West for Beautiful Days the following weekend. Thinking of going to stay in Sidmouth or somewhere like that and get some walking in.

From Salisbury, the route is pretty similar to that for Larmer Tree, regular (double decker) buses from Salisbury to either Blandford or Weymouth. Both routes pass right outside the site, so better than Larmer Tree in fact :)
Last time the bus driver stopped at the gates for the six or seven festie goers aboard.
Buses ca. hourly from Salisbury bus station, near the market square

I've booked train tickets for me and gergl to Salisbury - but only this early because I had some rail vouchers that expired at the end of may. And yes, there are busses every 1 or 2 hours from there to the festie.
Would be nice to travel together with some people - and even nicer if we could give some booze and tents to the people travelling by van. :)

Seriously thinking of going to this . . . but have a bit of a touch-n-go relationship situation right now that might mean I can't go, or something. If I got tickets are they sell-on-able?

Yes, Spion, I think they are but check at the endorse it forum.

Looking forward to this now all the more, following the deluge that was Glastonbury. At least if it gets this bad at Endorse it, there is only one field to contend with and I can always go home and come back!!!! 30 mins each way.

Bring it on...... :D

I might be able to help with this....:)

i nearly just bought tickets for this. shall i shall i??? meh if it rains i'lll hate it!!!!! but if it suns it'll be ace... oh i'm all of a quandary :( :(

I reckon the ticket + travel from npton = the cost of a Reading ticket and considerably less hassle than that monument to twattishness in Berkshire.

Hmmm. I get paid Friday.

:)

BUY BUY BUY. You'll love it. The kind of rain we had this week/weekend was fairly exceptional, although late June in Somerset, and eveywhere, does seem a tad jinxed at times :(

But rain of anything like that kind is pretty unlikely in August seriously, and there's a better than evens chance the weather will be very nice :)

And if the worst happens**, there's 3,000 odd people there not 180,000, some of us are Glasto veterans and have lots of advice if youi need it, and the beer tent is big n sheltered ...

**A little shower :D

ETA : I see you're trying to buy now, good move, good luck
