Gaijingirl posting..

I don't suppose anyone is that bothered - apart from maybe Zora who will now have no one to make fun of for taking a mere, short nap of a Sat evening... but I definitely can't come now - I will definitely be in Japan and I can't pretend I'm sad about that.... :D

Will also be selling two Shambala tickets (yes Dub.. I know it's a festival you've never been to that you don't like! :p :) )

Salisbury is where you need to head for. This is 16 miles East of the Festival site.

Check stuff out nearer the time, Choc, and if you want we could get the same one on the Friday morning from Waterloo (they're quite frequent). I have a discount card valid for guest-travellers :)

Buses from Salisbury to just outside the site have never been a problem for me when festographising in the area last year, and in previous years ... :)

thanks a lot william, although i will first check with han and jan, and, i think friday am might be too early for me.

however it will be worthwhile to check if 4 for 2 offer exists on that line as it will be otherwise not so cheap.

let's see nearer the time.

:)

Site doesn't open till lunchtime Friday.

From the website:

"The festival campsite opens at midday on Friday 10th August, with the festival arena opening at 5pm. The campsite closes at midday on Monday 13th August."

Ah. Ta for that ol' bean. I reckon we'll be getting there pretty soon after the gates open...

Hopefully we can co-ordinate an urban camping posse....

ooh - I'm quite touched at just how bovvered people are!! :D

I'm only going for 3 weeks and will be teaching for a good part of that - but residential in the countryside which will be wicked - also going to some of the islands I don't know so well. Instead of going back to my hometown by proxy, I'm considering a week in Okinawa or maybe Yakushima which is a world heritage site covered in forest up to 7,000 years old!!!

So I'm afraid I will be back .... :D

I think me and Sparklefish may camp right next to Henrys Beard Cafe again. We camped there last year and it was a lovely spot. Always music into the wee hours, instant tea coffee etc in the morning and tasty healthy grub.

Wheres everyone here camping? Although the site is so small it seems anywhere will be close!

:) I may be going on my own now or i suppose i could try and find a friend to come with me, tho it is a long time away maybe things will be ok again.:(

I like the sound of that, too.

Btw, we found your Big Green Gathering programme here when we were tidying up an old bookshelf yesterday, Han.

Hours of endless unintentional hilarity. :D

But does your campervan have the word 'Beard' in it's title?

Can't compete with that, can yer? ;)

You've got a point there. YOU've got a beard though, so that'll do! :)

Oh god yes. The BGG programme. It's a gem. We've still got ours!

'Firebird will be acupuncturing the earth to relieve geopathic stress, spiralling us into this great curving mystery'....or something...lol!
