I may take you up on that offer if I get stuck plus you'll need someone to carry all your dugs that you'll get off lletsa.

I can see an early train to Salisbury and a thorough investigation of these pubs may be in order then :)

There's a couple of good pubs between the station and the bus stop. Stig and I scouted them out last year on the way back :D

I don't remember those :hmm:

oh hold on... yes I do.. it's a bit hazy though. There was a garden... and some beer... I'm off to check beerintheevening.

There's a pub in Salisbury that does loads of proper scrumpy and real ales, it looks like it should be by the coast. Took an American friend of mine there to show her what a good old english pub is like.

A really nice cozy pub with friendly staff and some well kept ales on tap. During our visit we really enjoyed a guest ale from Cornwall, called Tribute. It was a recommendation by the woman behind the bar and it was easily one of the best ales I have ever had in England- superb! If you;re in Salisbury, it's a great place to hoist a few pints.

We got the train to Endorse-it last year and it was rather a pleasant journey.

Can we all get on the same train, take over a load of tables, and then roll out the lavish picnic with cold ales, home made breads, fine cheeses etc, that's what a train journey to the west country should be like. :D

 (silently rages against the unecessary pluralising of uncountable nouns)

;)

It has just struck me, whay are you looking for pubs, why not get pissed on site like everyone else. Don't tell me you don't get a muddy arse anymore?

Because they aren't the real salt of the earth working class like me.

;)

We all have to go home at some point, or are you staying on site till next year?

going home involves passing through Salisbury.

Tsk!

Ales breads and cheeses sounds better than ale bread and cheese. It sounds more rustic picnicky. :p

Anyway there'll be more than one type of each, does that justify my pluralising somewhat?

That's pretty much what happened with the Megatrain carriage last year, wasn't it?
