Ed Reardan's / Riordan's / Rearden's / Reardon's Week

Ed is coming back in the next few weeks to Radio 4.

I think it may prove the last series, however as Andrew Nickolds who co-wrote it passed away last year. But I understand the scripts were finished before then.

If it’s the end it will be a shame. I listen to them daily as it’s something to drown out the tinnitus before getting off to sleep. They’re all available as a podcast so I just go round and round again every time I finish the 90 or so episodes.

Series 15 finally begins next Thursday 13th July!!! - 6.30 Radio 4
First episode entitled - The Storyteller..
Second - Pallet Wood Inspirations..
Probably will be the end of the series..
Fear it may see the demise of Elgar..😿

I just hope Ping does some more of her funny working class voices they are always a highlight as are Jake and Ellie scrapping with each other

A sad opening to the recent series, with news of Elgar's death. His age wasn't mentioned but he must have been about 25.

My favourite bits are always Ed and Jazz trading insults, and the series was overall a bit weaker than most, but it ended well with what might be one of Elgar's kittens doing some first rate paw work catching a bit of of stray food, and settling in nicely.

Also the Ping actress, Barunka O’Shaugnessy was involved in Wallace and Gromit I noticed :)

This was written by Christopher Douglas and Nicola Sanderson.

I haven't heard all Beauty of Britain episodes, and keep meaning to, so here it is from the start, Thursday at 11.30 pm

There is a cracking episode where Felix Dexter turns up as an evangelical preacher, Pastor Dave, and thrills Beauty.

Dan Tetsell plays a Methodist minister who just can't compete with Dave.

Will check it out, Nicola Sanderson plays a lot of the funniest female support roles.
