Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus

Can't support it. They make small kids dress up like idiots in what apparently passes for 'national costume'. I call it child abuse.

Maybe it being on a Sunday they won't insist on torturing infants tomorrow.

Also I've noticed that welsh cakes are a big thing in north wales for st davids these days. I don't mind welsh cakes, bit boring but if they have currents or sultanas and are still hot and covered in sugar they are nice enough, but they are a south walian thing*, unfortunately like rugby they are slowly invading the culture of y Gogledd.

Bring back barra brith. Loads better.

*we had them when I was young but we called them griddle cakes and they weren't seen as this massively important welsh cultural expression via the medium of a very simple cake; it is this and the sillyness of calling them welsh cakes when we are in wales that we have imported from our shorter compatriots

Happy St David's Day Welsh brethren. :)
