DIY/Punk Distros?

To be transparent, in my younger days I bought a fair few zines and second hand vinyl - always as described and at a good price - from Trev, with no complaints :) (He was always quite mean to Andy Shocker though)

I think Ripping Thrash might be starting up again. Active Distribution has a good range of pamphlets.

Think Fozzie Bear is abreast of more modern zine stuff?

What is a distro? Is it like a bistro? I don't think a DIY bistro would do much business.

Distribution/buters.

Not sure on some of those I've quickly seen on AD, all look a bit too lifestyle for me. What happened to 'Bun Down Babylon'?!

(Sorry, can't offer much here, zines never really did much for me)

Yeah, basically Active for the UK and Black Mosquito for EU are the best ones going that I'm aware of. Went to a zine fair recently and had a similar grump about how zine makers who went to art school don't seem to have much of a "pay no more than" ethic, but saw Pen Fight Distro who seemed like a fairly proper oldschool distro (oldschool as in the good old days of the 2000s/early 2010s):
And they have this zine event calendar if that's of any use to anyone:
There's also the zine wiki:
But I dunno how reliable that is cos I looked at it, went "blimey, is Marching Stars still going?" and clicked through to learn that they stopped in 2015.
Think Profane Existence is still going as a distro but not a zine.

Oh yeah, good calls - Static Shock as well?
Specialist Subject Records, maybe?
thats the Berlin static shock. this is the London one. tom is moving to Canada at the end of October so I think there are some decent deals going on - or there were up until the end of august.

Yes static shock! I think I thought it had stopped already as the festival ended but I see not.

it is great how you can still get new LPs for old prices from these places, rather than £30-40 like everywhere else

Oh, and there's this lot as well - from a quick glance they seem to be more interested in the kinds of hardcore that I'm not that bothered about, but then my tastes aren't everyone's:
