Hi!

We are three illustrators and a film editor looking for a person to fill a spare desk space in our pleasant, well-equipped studio just by the intersection of Brixton Water Lane and Tulse Hill, a few doors down from the big Sainsbury's.

We have:

> Fast broadband
> Recently-installed kitchen with fridge, oven and cooker
> Easy access to local shops and amenities including Brockwell Park, which is just around the corner

Please check the ad on gumtree for a little more information, and photos!

Large Studio Work Space / desk available to rent in Brixton £160-180 | in Lambeth, London | Gumtree

ridiculous for a desk and some wifi

does it come with any storage space and do you have insurance incase any of my shit is nicked??

a desk next to a park aint really a feature is it, I can just go there for free if I wanted to go to a park

the kitchen is a concern, you seem to want money for a place that'll stink of everyone elses food

fix up. wtf is a kitchen with an oven doing in a workspace?? is this subsidising your rent where you live?

er... we have a kitchen with an oven so that we can make lunch or cook the odd communal meal. Nobody lives here. Plenty of storage space.

Or I could be your chef? Pot noodles all round, yeah?

(I'm assuming creatives will pay a fuck ton for imported craft pot noodles, yeah?)

I don't really like the label 'creatives' in this (or any) context. Much prefer 'people who are good at drawing and have foolishly striven to make it pay the bills'.
'Chef' is problematic too. Could you live with 'nutritioneer'?

Are the watercolours nudes?

What's creative about the studio?

WELL. We all make things here and are hoping to find someone else who makes things too. And by 'things' I mean pictures, films or groups of sentences, rather than 'contracts between petrochemical companies' or 'life-saving surgical interventions' (for example).
