'deprogramming'

well...to me, the particularly antagonistic tone of the question here smacks of asking me to provide proof an accusation (but the post is also proof of your lie about the "tiresome little shit" bullshit)
You're wrong.

So apologise or fuck off. I'm getting fed up with your disruptive lies today.

Resonance call themselves a 'community radio station' just as you describe Urban as a 'community website', which now has a radio station.
Sorry. Have you withdrawn the claim that I "banned" DrJ's broadcast yet?

And I don't care what Resonance FM call themselves, their set-up bears precious little relation to urban75 and as such there isn't much meaningful mileage to be gained by comparing the two.

I'm not looking for a bitch fight but Urbans output is looking to be similar to Resonances albeit on a smaller scale.

Urban is a fantastic creation and I understand your concerns but I do believe your being over cautious although you have every right to be.

will you apologise editor, for inferring that "tiresome little shit" was not your description of me and my invention?
furthermore I ask you again, will you prove how my tagline in any way speaks volumes about the 7000+ posts I've made since joining this site 3 1/2 years ago

if you won't then I guess I will fuck off as you so politely put it....from this thread anyway as I don't see I have anything to apologise for and especially as you have resorted to the tired old "if I can't handle it/if I'm so blah blah blah...then how come you're still posting here" line...

as for disruptive lies! priceless....

now, where's that beer...all this has made me thirsty...

Oh bloody hell. I feel *very* stupid now... I didn't actually realise there was any issue with anti-semitism. I thought the controversy was plain old conspiracy, and that that could be interesting if handled with intelligence.

I'm sorry drjazzz, I -am- now changing my mind and I don't think the programmes are a good idea at all.

marvellous. i think this programme would have been great.

i notice how some people here are quick to immediately jump on the "icke's an anti-jewish nutter" bandwagon, in all probability without having bothered to find out what he has said in defence out about the accusations time and time again.

it's bizarre how icke seems to be classed as an unreliable and uncredible source, but fuck me, anything from the bnp press office must be gospel.

i would urge those involved with the radio station gather some facts about this, and the accusations against icke and reconsider the programme. possibly even go ahead with it but just hold it off from release until they can clear some of these old accusations up.

I notice Icke supporters have made no comment on posts 120, 136 & especially 163. Silence speaks volumes eh??

I don't think the programme should go ahead, but the antics of the editor on this thread are making me change my mind.

fine. go ahead and show me where icke has categorically condemned all the jewish people. you've read his books, no doubt you can point me in the right direction.

Have read a wide range of his denials, numbskull. They range between "I'm not a racist but..." stupidity and utter sectionable nuttery.

He does not exist in splendid isolation: he's lifted everything from other people's books. Have read widely around banking-conspiracy theories and the like, from the original forged Protocols (which Icke takes as a primary source, yes?) onward. If you believe his denials, you have to believe he's the only one promoting this shit who hasn't got an it's-all-the-fault-of-the-Jews agenda. Which would be like believing that though Rowan Williams goes to Anglican Church daily and spends every waking moment spouting about Anglican Xtianity, really he's the only one who worships Ganesh, so we can let him off for all the nastiness of Xtianity...

I just love the straw man argument--Icke has never 'categorically condemned' the Jewish people as such, nor did I say he has. I did point to an article I wrote analysing his views in detail showing that in the end the anti-Jewish bias is undeniable. I repeat: if anybody tells me how to easily, I'll happily post it to this site (only have a hard copy).

Stylish though it may appear at first, attributing to people views they do not hold, & then demanding 'evidence' for them, is hardly proper debate. My article, by the way, is full of page references to Icke's actual works. Apart that is, from the Holocaust denial chapter removed by Gateway publishers from one of his books.

well that's the point. as far as i'm aware he has nothing against the jewish people as a whole, he just believes that a small group within them are part of the lizard overlords which he believes run the planet. can someone explain to me how this makes him a full on anti-semite ?

..and larry, i'm sure you're very proud you helped to get icke ejected from the green party. as he was obviously suffering from some sort of mental illness i don't suppose any of you offered to help him ?

i find it completely bizarre that people seem to love calling him a mentalist then decide to turn around and take what he says seriously.

An absolute classic of the 'imputing to me an argument I have never put school'. I have never said Icke was suffering from "mental illness", what I & others objected to was the anti-Jewish perspective within the conspiracy theories he was upholding/propagating. I have never said he shouldn't be taken seriously--that's why I read his turgid books!

But hey, why let the evidence get in the way of your theorising--after all Icke doesn't! ;)

where did i say you claimed icke had some sort of mental illness ?

and i haven't seen you present any evidence at all. i did look for the "david icke, the hard truth" book on amazon so i could read it and get the full info on the anti semetic thing, but they don't seem to have it.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? It was an article, not a book. And I suppose for the likes of you, if it isn't on the internet it doesn't exist. Given that I have twice referred to the article as an article, & asked for advice on uploading it here, what I suppose this shows is you haven't even read my posts. Which makes you an ideal Icke supporter. What I am not going to do is retype the article from scratch--for a start its a nice day & I've some painting to do...

not at all. i'd genuinely like to read it. i suppose cut and paste is impossible for you.

i'm not in a position to give technical advice on the site. you can email me via my profile though.

and to call me an "icke supporter" is a little extreme - 90% of what he writes is cack.

If you have it as a document on computer, PM me and I'll host it on my site.

well scan and pdf it, acrobat has extremely efficient text reconition software for this very thing, I for one would like to read it.

does anyone remember Fatboss magazine?
It was meant to be a UK hip hop magazine but, for reasons that I never really understood, it had a regular column by David Icke
then it went out of business

er, that's all

as you were :)

'deprogramming' is as an antidote to mainstream views and beliefs that we are 'programmed' to believe.

If the progamme continued in the same patronising vein as this, I wouldn't want to listen to it.

To be honest I don't think I've ever met Larry, but I know other people from the Green Party at the time who paint exactly the same picture of Icke - they were glad to throw him out of the party for some pretty nasty anti-semitic rants.

I see no reason why any of those folks should lie. Icke's not quite stupid enough to raise the same controversial views in print, although he gets close with that divisive lizard nonsense, but people's views of him in real life are illuminating.
