But it should be obvious to you that actually quite a lot of people are interested in some aspects of what you call conspiralunacy.

The fact is that the vast majority of those who post on these boards are totally uninterested in the continuing bilge of fact-free bullshit, purporting to be evidence.

I find the proposed title of the radio show – the thread title - to be extremely patronising to say the least.

Oh for Christ's sake, even miss minnie seemed to appreciate the humour involved.

Anyway, it's a shame. Another episode I had would have been on vaccines, and you guys could have nominated someone to take on my guest. Would have made an interesting debate.

Sounds like the crap we read in the papers.

And pressuring Mation into stopping the show because you don't like the content.
Mation wasn't "pressured into stopping the show". What on earth gave you that idea? Mation didn't want to be involved in producing bad, unbalanced radio.

Yes, I think it could have made a great debate Fridgemagnet. My guest would have either been Dr. Viera Scheibner or a medically qualified doctor and they would have been happy to take on anyone.

In 1993 Ms. Scheibner published a book "100 Years of Orthodox Research Shows that vaccines Represent a Medical Assault on the Immune System." The most famous of her claims is that SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) supposedly disappeared in Japan following a change in the pertussis immunization schedule.

Ms. Scheibner's credentials are ambiguous. As Viera Scheibnerovà she was an assistant professor in the Dept. of Geology at Comenius University in Bratislava until 1969.

She then immigrated to Australia and was a member of the Geological Survey of New South Wales until her retirement in the mid 1980's.

A medline search of the indexed peer reviewed literature covering some 3,600 health-related journals reveals that Ms. Scheibner has never published a single study on human health.

While Ms. Scheibner apparently has training in paleontology, her training in the health sciences and her experience in human health research is NON-EXISTENT!

What any medically qualified doctor? Scheibner would have been a good laugh...

She apparantly has a doctorate in Natural Sciences which has fuck all to do with medical training. But she does love to spout about the things DrJ lurves - conspiracies and uninformed opinions about medicine.

I was just reflecting that you are certainly not one of my fans around here mm, but your suggestion of 'twilight zone' theme was spot on.

oh yes, - democratic.- like the house of commons.

Still at least you don't ban the people you don't like. Should be thankful I suppose.

Stop whining, it's just been done to death here that's all.

David Icke's completely raving mental, and so is anyone who actually takes his lizard ideas seriously.

What the fuck should Urban75 use him for?

Comedy value?

It's be like kicking a disabled child... he's ill, get him help, don't indulge him with an audience...

For a subject so many people think is shite, some folk on here dont half spend a lot of time arguing over it. I mean if you really think its shite, then why make dozens of posts on it?

I personally dont believe them outright, but I think to ignore conspiracy theories quite possibly misses a more general and interesting debate about the workings and control government has over populations through propaganda etc. They lead to a lot of "what if..." scenarios which pose questionsabout how far government is prepared to go to mislead its people. That might not be into the land of the conspiracy theory, but people have to recognise that at some point the truth merges into conspiracy theory. Question is, at what point?

Hey, might even be an idea of a U75 radio programme.... :p
