Deborah Kerr dies

Forget the "best known for From Here To Eternity" stuff, if you see Black Narcissus and The Life And Death of Colonel Blimp you'll have seen two of the best in British film history.

Cool actress.

Her and Lancaster rolling around in the surf has to be one of the most iconic movie moments of all time.

Black Narcissus is one of the most outstanding, visually brilliant films of all time and Kerr was a fantastic actress.

RIP

I remember her from the King & I

Nowt wrong with that. King & I is one of my favourite musicals after Bugsy Malone and West Side Story  although I probably watched it more for Yul Brynner than Deborah Kerr

Shame she's gone though, I liked her as well :(

In my mind the king and i was her best with yul bryner.when i was a kid i got a birthday card with a thin throwaway record the title was getting to know you from the king and i .whithout looking at imdb did she actually sing on that film

Ditto :D

Loved Black Narcissus too. Good actress. RIP purdy lady.

the story went that she whistled Happy Talk by accident, thus leading to the very odd expression on Yul's face at that point!
