Croatia campsites recomendations?

mrs elvis is a serb, she's camped/holidayed in croatia many times, there are some stunning islands for camping i seem to recall. i'll ask her at a more reasonable hour

as it says - love Croatia, so doing 3 weeks next summer - anyone got any decent tips for good sites?

cheers
mrs elvis recommends Hvar and Vis, islands just to the south of Split and also around Pula, at bit more to the north. She camped all around there and says it's stunning, but it was two or three decades ago so she's not sure how much more touristy it is now. we have some lovely friends in Pula if you need a local contact.

cheers - may be looking at southern istria, cos the drive further south can be a killer - def. do an island or two, so maybe split or rijeka for the ferries. Pula may be the place to go.

Pula is decent. Fairly cheap ,loads of good wandering, and the buses are cheap. Not far from Tito's summer hideaway which is V bond villain island style. If you get sick of camping the local tourist agencies can find you a flat to rent fairly cheap. Start of this year (April) we got a place with a private garden for about 25 quid a night. Recommend it.
