Posted about this on the general construction thread, but this sounds like a big and important one so might as well have its own:
The background is that construction employers, including NG Bailey, have been trying to bring in untrained staff to carry out electrical work building a nuclear reactor at Hinkley Point C ("it's only a nuclear reactor, what could possibly go wrong?") In response, electricians have been carrying out flash protests at various sites where NG Bailey have been carrying out work over the last few months, and are now having a national demo at AWE Burghfield outside Reading, another Bailey site. Dunno if there's anyone on here who lives in the area and is able to get up very very early on a Wednesday morning, but it's an important one so would be good if anyone can make it. I imagine security might be a bit terrifying, though.
