Cheap, short term accom in London

Quick question. There's a job which I'm perfect for. (Training kids for an exam for which I'm an examiner.)

It's mid June to mid August.

Any ideas where I can find cheap accommodation for 2 adults?

We don't want to spend a lot in either time or money travelling.

My first thoughts were ISH but there's nothing available for the time period.

No specific budget. We've been finding places at 350+ a week. We want less than this or the work is not profitable enough.

The job is in Charing Cross, so somewhere convenient for that, without being too far in time or too expensive.

You're probably best off looking for a short term let or air b and b in somewhere on the overland train routes into charing cross, like Lewisham, Catford, Beckenham. They're basic boring suburbs, so you get more for your money, and the commute is easy and relatively pleasant compared to the tube.

For short term, a place of your own is going to be pricy, a houseshare or lodging arrangement would be cheaper. You could try Monday to Friday.com and get in touch with live-in landlords, let them know your requirements and see if anyone bites.

Either would do. Obviously we would prefer our own place, but since it is only about 8 weeks we can be flexible.
