Cheap 2nd Hand Manga Suppliers

I want to get loads of back issues of stuff like Bleach, Naruto, Black Butler, Fairy Tails, all the comics the kids dig basically

No idea never brought second hand. don't even know if there is much of a second hand market.

some anime forums have section where users can offer up stuff they no longer want.

and boy you're gonna have a load of volumes to buy for shonen stuff.

actually with shonen stuff i just download it. when a series runs for something like 40+ volumes i'm not going to invest in buying it.

the only long manga series i have actually purchased physical copies of is negima and that looks short compared to stuff like one piece

The ones you mentioned are the boys fighting manga.

the really popular ones tend to run forever because all you need to do is add more fights. although they tend to get ludicrous as each new bad guy has to be hyped up even more than the last.

it's diffrent from shoujo manga (girls manga) which is more stuff like magic girls and romance and senin which is more the 14-30 market

"girls manga" "boys manga" is more to do with the subject matter not the audience?

Girls that I know all seem to only read / watch the manga about boys - I think they are reasonably typical. (I assume reading & writing about cute boys in distress probably taps into the same need as liking boybands ).

Attack on Titan is the current one in our household.

Rosario & Vampire is not a girls manga

it's fairly much an ecchi manga it has a plot n all but a significant amount of it is tits and jokes it was originally published by Monthly Shonen Jump

manga is normally published in huge monthly or weekly anthologies. the popular series get repriunted in stand alone volumes

it's these stand alone volumes that then get published over here

The girls definitely swoon over the boys in manga comics. Sebastian from Black Butler being the dreamboat of choice amongst 13 year old girls.
They say how much better they are than real boys. Fine by me. They can't get pregnant off of cartoon characters.

shounen-ai aka BL aka boys love is another term and tends to be softer


but the basic charactors don't change much


in shoujo romance you tend to have the plainish but still somehow special girl her jokey funny best freind a sporty blond love intrest and a dark haired broody love intrest.

love triangle goes on for a while but she ends up with the angsty one

in gay porn the angsty one just fucks the sporty one
