Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to change my Landline provider and keep my present number? I’ve tried a google search but the only results I get are for mobile phone
Thanks Jeff
This guide explains what you need to do if you want to switch your landline to a new provider

seems to think you can
You can keep your existing landline telephone number when you switch if you want to. This is known as number 'porting'. If you want to keep your number, let the provider you wish to switch to know. However, you may not be able to keep your existing landline number if you are switching landline provider at the same time as moving home.
Yes, if you are switching to another landline (landline and mobile numbers are not interchangeable however). Ask your current provider for the code to give to the new provider.
You will need to ask the new provider. In most cases it can be done but it depends on who owns the number and the will of the provider to do it for you
Indeed. Although to complicate things, if staying in the same dialling code area but moving address, you can take your previous number with you to your new address. We did this once. I wouldn’t bother now, though, as not only does nobody use my landline except elderly relatives, but nobody knows anyone’s numbers any more anyway , you just add them to your phone and let it remember them for you.

Yeah that’s the same with me, The reason I want to keep my Landline is the bank use it as a security measure if I’m making a Bank Transfer I don’t really want to use my mobile as I’m paranoid about getting sim swapped
