Champion Hill ranked #22 in listing of the 100 best football stadiums in Britain

Be a bit of media London/SE bias I expect, or do they have a nationwide spread of contributors?
ETA Though having looked at the actual article don't suppose you can accuse a list that Includes Eriskay of not casting the net :D

See ours gets in at 53 so must just be scenic location, away facilities are embarassingly shit and transport links appalling.

Some nice ones in there, thanks for the article. Abertillery has never looked so nice. Must be a pain in the arse running to get the ball when it's hoofed out.

Alloa looks worth a visit too. Maybe.

Everyone loves a list an that but… can’t help thinking they’re comparing the incomparable here. Some of the sequencing made me laugh: Hawthorns - Dripping Pan - Stamford Bridge. I mean, on what basis is Hawthorns slightly worse than Dripping Pan which is slightly worse than Stamford Bridge?
I think he should have had multiple lists by more comparable type. Maybe sub 2,000, sub 5,000 etc.
Have to say though a ground with a view does appeal as a good back up when the chances of seeing the pitch are about zero.

I like the stadium at Champion hill very much, and I remember the old place when I was a kid,but whoever it was that composed this top 100 best grounds is clearly responsible for the latest COVID infection statistics 😜

The issue with any 'best of ' list is that it will always be purely subjective so therefore relatively pointless.

Far too many modern and big stadia at the top of that list. Much prefer the ones voted by fans (including me) in Mike Bayly's book!

I'm treating myself to that book end of this month as a birthday present to myself.
